Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common Banned Clothes questions: what the shirts are made of, how they fit, how long shipping takes, and what happens if something arrives misprinted.
About Banned Clothes
- What is Banned Clothes?
- Banned Clothes is an online store that sells funny, offensive and meme t-shirts. Every design is original and printed to order in the United States on heavyweight ring-spun cotton tees.
- Are the designs original?
- Yes. Every Banned Clothes design is drawn and typeset in-house. We don't use stock art or lift artwork from other shops. Some phrases are ours and some are internet folklore, but the shirt itself is always our own design, sold for personal wear only.
- Why are the shirts called 'banned'?
- The name is a nod to the kind of blunt, say-it-anyway humor that gets flagged, hidden or removed on social platforms and marketplaces. We print it anyway. "Viral tees the internet banned" is the whole brief.
The shirts
- What are the shirts made of?
- Our standard blank is the Bella+Canvas 3001 Unisex Jersey Short Sleeve Tee: 100% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton, 4.2 oz/yd² (142 g/m²), a soft mid-heavyweight tee that is noticeably better than the thin blanks most print shops use. Some designs are printed on other heavyweight ring-spun cotton tees; the exact blank, fabric weight and size chart are listed under "Fabric & fit" on every product page.
- How do the shirts fit?
- Our standard tee is a unisex retail fit, side-seamed, shoulder-to-shoulder taping that runs true to size; order one size up for an oversized look. Always check the size chart on the specific product page before ordering, because a few designs are printed on differently sized blanks (including youth sizes, which run much smaller).
- What sizes and colors are available?
- Unisex sizes from XS up to 2XL depending on the design; the exact sizes in stock are listed on each product page. Most designs come in Black, with White added for select designs.
- How are the designs printed? Will they crack or peel?
- Designs are applied with Direct-to-garment (DTG) printing using water-based inks that bond with the cotton fibres. The result is soft to the touch and does not crack or peel like heat-transfer vinyl.
- How should I wash a printed t-shirt?
- Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low. Do not iron directly on the print.
Orders & shipping
- How long does shipping take?

- Do you ship internationally?
- Yes. Shipping options and exact costs for your country are shown at checkout before you pay. International orders may be subject to local customs fees.
- Where do the shirts ship from?
- Orders are printed and shipped from fulfilment facilities in the US.
- How do I track my order?
- You receive a tracking number by email the moment your order ships. Tracking links are also included in your shipping confirmation.
