Offensive T-Shirt Gift Guide: Funny Tees for Every Difficult Person
The right offensive t-shirt for the gym rat, the new graduate, the sibling who is always someone's problem and the friend with chaotic taste in partners. Sizing tips, shipping deadlines and how to keep it funny rather than mean.
An offensive t-shirt is a good gift when the phrase on it is something the recipient has already said out loud. That's the rule. You're not putting words in their mouth; you're printing the ones that were already there. Get that right and a statement tee becomes the gift they actually wear instead of the one they photograph once for the group chat.
Here's who to buy for, what to buy them, and the practical details (sizing, shipping) that separate a great gift from a late one.
By recipient
The sibling who has never once taken responsibility
Someone's Problem. Two words, bold front print, heavyweight black tee. It's the phrase they live by, and it works as a peace offering because it proves you were listening.
The gym friend who talks about being locked in
Fully Bricked Up if they can take a joke, or I Got That Dog In Me if they need a new lifting shirt. Order true to size; gym shirts shouldn't be oversized.
The new graduate
No Cum Just Laude. The graduation gift for anyone who finished the degree without the honors and is at peace with it. Give it after the ceremony, not during.
The friend with chaotic taste in partners
I Can Fix Her. They can't, and they know it, and they've said it anyway. Consider it a public service to their next date.
The one who says what everyone is thinking
Anything from the Offensive Shirts collection. Weekend wear unless their HR department has a sense of humor.
Keep it funny, not cruel
The line between an offensive shirt that gets worn and one that gets buried in a drawer is who the joke is on. The designs that stay in rotation punch at the wearer or at life in general. Pick the shirt that describes the person, not the shirt that describes what you think of them.
Sizing a gift
Our standard tee is the Bella+Canvas 3001 unisex retail fit, which runs true to size. Always check the size chart on the product page, since a few designs use a different blank. If you don't know their size:
- Look at a shirt they wear a lot. The tag is usually the answer.
- When in doubt, go up one. An oversized fit is on trend and never unwearable. A too-small tee is.
- Use the chart. Our size guide lists body length and chest width for every size in inches and centimetres.
Because each shirt is printed to order we can't exchange for size, so a minute spent on the chart is worth it.
Shipping deadlines
Shirts are printed in 3–5 business days and US delivery takes another 5–10 business days. For a birthday, order about two and a half weeks out. For the holidays, order by the first week of December to be safe. You get tracking by email the moment it ships.
The complete gift
A statement tee, a card with the same phrase written inside, done. For more options browse the Meme Collection or the full Offensive Shirts range.
